PRODUCT REVIEWS
USA: The following is only a portion of the review: 4.5 stars out of 5. Ed Pavelka, President of Roadbikerider.com. "Ed is a 32-year veteran of cycling journalism. He has served as editor of VeloNews, executive editor of Bicycling magazine and produced more than three-dozen cycling books. His road cycling career dates to 1972 and emphasizes long-distance events."
"Tested: 338 hrs. (Trim Bin); 53 hrs. (Big Bin)...I used a JerseyBin for much of the 2009 season. It worked exactly as promised, keeping contents safe and dry....The Big Bin still slips easily into a rear jersey pocket, allowing a rider to carry an assortment of items and never worry about exposing them to sweat or rain. Sure, baggies do a similar job, and I used them for years, but a JerseyBin is to a baggie like Superman is to Clark Kent..."
"...Bottom Line...It's nice to find a product that's practical, durable, inexpensive and does what it promises. The JerseyBin fills the bill. After using the Trim size all season and then switching to the new Big size, I think most riders will find that bigger is better. The Big Bin holds considerably more before becoming a strain to close, and it fits in every jersey pocket I've tried....If you need a secure, waterproof way to carry ID, electronics and small personal items on rides, a JerseyBin beats a baggie bigtime." Australia: "Top Gear Reviews: Hey, now these are great. Jersey Bins are water-proof bags that come in two sizes, 95x175mm and 120x175mm. The smallest is big enough for an i-phone, key, money and cash card. I tested them out in heavy rain and found their zip lock kept my phone perfectly dry. Many people use zip lock sandwich bags, but how many of us re-use them? Not many I’ll bet. The Jersey Bins will last for ages, being made from a heavy duty plastic. You can also order batches with your club details on them..." Click here for article:

USA: 4.5 Chainrings out of 5. So what does Bicycle.net think of the Jersey Bin?
(Review by: Albert S.) “I used the JerseyBins for well over 100 hours while riding in both warm and cold conditions. I used one to hold both my Blackberry, and ID. I used another to hold my gel packets, and a 3rd to store the used gel packets so I could keep my pockets clean. They performed just as the company described, and they fit my jersey pockets (with many different jerseys, by different manufactures) perfect. They seal air and moisture tight so my Blackberry stayed completed dry. I was even able to use it without opening it up, which is a very nice feature. I found the JerseyBin so much better than a flimsy plastic bag that I am not giving them back to Bicycle.net. They are such a simple idea that works picture perfect. Nice Job JerseyBin.”
USA: The following is only a portion of the review: "I’ve been dealing with a little problem ever since I started road cycling. Chances are, you’ve been dealing with it, too. It was a nuisance, but not annoying enough that I thought too much about it...I’m talking about carrying stuff in your jersey pockets. You can stick your cell phone in there, but then it gets soaked in sweat. Toss some energy bars in, but then your pockets sag down. Put your used gel packets back in, but then you get a sticky residue in the pocket.
What do you do? Use the JerseyBin. The JerseyBin is like a heavy-duty zip-loc bag that’s made specifically for organizing stuff in cycling jersey pockets. It’s very simple, but it has become indispensable for me. One thing I should mention is there are two different kinds of JerseyBin – the standard one and a limited edition. The only real difference is the limited edition is clear rather than cloudy (I think the cloudy ones look better.)...I tested out both varieties of JerseyBin, and here are my thoughts:
I like the JerseyBin for my cell phone because it is waterproof. (Really that’s my #1 favorite thing and reason to buy these JerseyBins.) So if I sweat like crazy or ride in the rain, my phone won’t get ruined. I don’t plan to take my phone underwater inside a JerseyBin, but I have had the bin completely coated in sweat with my phone still dry.
This also means the JerseyBin would be great for carrying maps, cue sheets, or any other pieces of paper. The limited edition JerseyBin is great for this since it is perfectly clear, but if you can’t get your hands on one, that’s ok – it’s still possible to see through the cloudy version...
...Sagging jersey pockets are ugly, and they make the ride uncomfortable because it pulls your jersey back. The bin makes the load feel lighter as well, so all in all, it leads to greater comfort. Just as bad as sagging jersey pockets are sticky jersey pockets. That’s what happens when you put energy bar wrapper and used gel packets straight into your pocket. It’s nasty. But if you put your trash in a JerseyBin, your jersey stays clean!
I’d say that the JerseyBin is really cool and great for just about every endurance-minded or recreational cyclist... My final verdict is…
The JerseyBin is a very cool idea which works as promised. Plus, it’s inexpensive (like $7.50 for two, and they’ll last for years.) I recommend them to everyone.
And if you carry a cell phone while riding, I highly recommend at least getting one JerseyBin to use to carry your phone. It’s well worth the cost for phone protection."
Italy: "Have you ever had problems to protect your phone from rain or dirt during cycling? If the answer is yes, the reason is because you have never used a JerseyBin. This simple accessory is designed specifically for the needs of our cyclists. JerseyBins are a sturdy and lightweight vinyl bag that keeps the mobile phone, camera, documents, everything that can be useful when cycling, but needs adequate protection...
...Available in 2 sizes (9.5x17.8 cm and 12.1x17.8 cm), Jersey bin is waterproof, durable, recyclable and is designed on the size of the back pockets of mesh jerseys for cycling. We tested JerseyBin using different products, from mobile phones to a camera: the protection afforded is absolute in that the sealing system seals the product inside so strong and perfect. The material is suitable for most forms. We had no difficulties, for example, to insert a camera thickness - quite important. Additionally, JerseyBins can be personalized with logos and graphics for groups of cyclists, long distance race ... who will now have a small waterproof pouch as a practical and indispensable travel companion."
USA: "I am a triathlon coach and tend to live in my workout gear so finding a product like the JerseyBin that keeps my cell phone dry and working at all times is wonderful. I love the fact that it is heavy duty enough to last for a season rather than just a few workouts. I can fit my Blackberry in the large size and all the other stuff I tend to carry in the other. The cue sheet feature is just another added benefit. If I am on the bike my JerseyBin is with me! In fact I believe in this product so much that I am going to give one to everyone I coach! Katie Malone, Malone Coaching Owner."
USA: "The Jersey Waterproof Pouch Bins are designed to protect your gadgets in wet conditions by its waterproof and sealable qualities. It comes in two sizes to choose from, the Big Bin and the Trim Bin. Both sizes are designed to fit inside the average cycling jersey pockets...
...This waterproof bins are easy to open and re-seal. The material used is an 8-gauge vinyl, which is also durable and recyclable. Gadgets like cellular phones, iPods, MP3s, GPS and the likes are very well accommodated in these waterproof pouches...
...The Jersey Waterproof Pouch Bins make checking missed calls on your touch screen phone hassle-free because touch sensors remain responsive through the vinyl. Aside from the Jersey Bin logo that comes with the pouches, you can also make use of the personalized labeling that is available if you want to add your own personal touch to it."
England: "JerseyBin is a waterproof pouch that keeps all your valuables dry when out on the road against rain and body sweat. You've all been there, when at a cafe stop for a drink you have to hand over fiver, that actually resembles wet tissue. Or maybe you've got home after the ride to find your mobile phone dead from water damage ( I know someone who this just happened too)...
...Well having used some over the last few weeks, and they have come in real handy for protecting my expensive iphone and amazingly you can still use while in the pouch, for carrying money, and for energy gels and bars which I tend to only half use put them back in my pocket which results in a nice sticky pocket and hands...
...They are available in two sizes; TrimBin is the smaller version and is perfect for a mobile phone, credit card, key, and some money. The slightly larger BigBin version just lets you get more in, though i've been using mine to carry gels and bars with my phone in a second TrimBin. Once in the pocket, they fit snugly under the pocket elastic, so you will have no fear of them bouncing out whether you are on the drops or out in the woods...
...Made of recyclable eight gauge vinyl, they're nice and flexible so you don't really feel them while they're in the pocket, the material should also be less likely to go brittle as you see with the clear type plastic many map holders tend to be made from. The closure system uses a heavy duty ZipLoc that does exactly what its supposed to, in that once closed it stays closed until you open it. In fact its such a good system, that the designer states that you must bring the bike to a stop before using the JerseyBin."
United Kingdom: "A bin that goes in your jersey, eh? Well, kind of. The Jersey Bin is a clear plastic sealable envelope designed to protect valuables that comes in two sizes, BigBin and TrimBin, both dimensioned to fit inside the average road cycling jersey pocket. The seal is waterproof and easy to both open and close while the material - 8-gauge vinyl - is durable and recyclable. Mobile phone touch screens work through the vinyl, which is decorated with the Jersey Bin logo although custom-printed personalised labelling is available."
